Client: Interactive Marketing Firm

Title of Search: Vice President, Client Services


Assignment Profile:

Company seeks replacement for Vice President of Client Services to manage all client relationships, resolve client issues, and ensure client satisfaction through timely delivery of solutions. As primary contact to clients, new Vice President of Client Services will also participate in growing business through identifying and pursuing opportunities within current client base as well as developing and delivering proposals to prospective clients.

Search Strategy:

  • Develop initial target list of interactive and online marketing companies in the Southwest Region.
  • Expand initial list to include marketing groups at top companies within the company's industry focus
  • Target interactive and management consulting firms that have established industry practices catering to vertical markets in which client is attempting to develop business
  • Identify candidates in management positions at targeted companies within Client Services as well as related departments such as Account Management, Marketing, and Business Development
  • Pinpoint candidates with an in-depth understanding of and passion for interactive technologies and the business implications thereof
  • Screen candidates based on relevant experience, personality, and understanding of interactive media
  • Contact and develop possible sources of referrals


Results:

  • Assembled list of over 100 potential candidates and sources of referrals
  • Evaluated candidates based on their demonstrated success in client satisfaction, business development, and management functions
  • Quantitatively scored top candidates along four different customized criteria
  • Selected and ranked the top six qualified and interested candidates
  • Candidate from list was offered the position and accepted
